This Privacy Policy explains how HairSignal processes personal data when you visit this website or join the early access waitlist.

Data we collect

When you submit the waitlist form, we collect:

  • email address
  • selected interest option
  • whether you indicate that you are already treating or tracking hair loss
  • an optional free-text answer about your biggest frustration tracking hair treatment progress
  • timestamp of submission

We may also process basic technical data that is automatically transmitted when you visit the website, such as IP address, browser information, device information, and request metadata, as part of hosting and security operations.

Purpose of processing

We process this data to:

  • manage the HairSignal early access waitlist
  • contact you about the first report format or product validation
  • understand which offer users are interested in
  • protect the website and API from abuse
  • operate and improve the website

Legal basis

For waitlist submissions, processing is based on your consent and/or pre-contractual interest in being contacted about the HairSignal validation project. Basic technical data is processed based on our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional website.

Service providers

We use the following technical service providers:

  • Vercel Inc. for hosting and deployment
  • Supabase Inc. for database storage and backend infrastructure
  • GitHub Inc. for source code hosting and deployment workflow

These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are used.

Storage period

We store waitlist submissions only as long as necessary for the HairSignal validation project, unless a longer storage period is required by law. You may request deletion of your waitlist submission at any time by contacting us by email.

No uploads or medical advice

The current version of HairSignal does not allow photo uploads, medical document uploads, medical consultations or medical advice. Please do not send sensitive medical information through the waitlist form or the optional free-text field.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses Vercel Web Analytics for privacy-friendly, aggregated website analytics such as page views, referrers, device/browser information and country-level traffic insights. At this stage, this website does not intentionally use marketing cookies or Google Analytics. If additional analytics or tracking tools are added later, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly and any required consent mechanism will be implemented.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to processing, data portability and withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
