Hair progress tracking companion

Stop guessing if your hair treatment is working.

HairSignal helps you make sense of messy progress photos, track changes more consistently and avoid overreacting to one bad picture.

Bad lighting, different angles and shedding phases can make progress feel impossible to judge.

No miracle claims. No fake precision. No diagnosis.

AI may help check photo consistency and structure comparisons, but HairSignal does not diagnose hair loss or recommend treatments.

The problem

Random hair photos make progress impossible to judge.

One day your hair looks better. The next day it looks worse. But is it actual loss, or just lighting, angle, hair length, styling or a temporary shed?

Your hair photos are scattered across your camera roll, mixed with selfies, screenshots and everyday photos.
Bad lighting can make density look worse.
Different angles distort your hairline.
Hair length, styling and wet or dry hair can change how progress looks.
Shedding phases create unnecessary panic.
It is hard to know whether a routine is actually working.

Founder note

Why we’re testing this

HairSignal started from a simple frustration: trying to judge hair progress from random bathroom photos is almost impossible. Different lighting, angles, hair length and shedding phases can make progress feel worse than it is. We’re testing whether people already treating hair loss want a more honest way to track progress before changing treatments too early.

How it works

A more honest way to track hair loss treatment.

1

Take consistent photos

Guided capture helps you match angle, lighting, distance and framing over time.
2

Track treatment context

Log finasteride, dutasteride, minoxidil, shedding, side effects and treatment changes.
3

Get an honest progress review

AI-assisted comparison highlights what changed, what stayed stable and where confidence is low.

Future direction

Your hair progress should not live as random photos in your camera roll.

Most people end up with scattered hair photos between screenshots, selfies and daily life. HairSignal is exploring a more dedicated place for hair progress: a private timeline with dates, angles, treatment context and comparison notes, so progress is easier to review over time. Even if old photos are messy, the goal is to organize what you have and create a cleaner baseline from today.

Dedicated progress timeline

Keep hair photos organized by date, angle and area instead of digging through your normal camera roll.

Treatment context

Add notes for finasteride, dutasteride, minoxidil, shedding phases, dosage changes or routine changes.

More reliable comparisons

Before judging progress, check whether photos were taken under similar enough conditions to compare.

HairSignal is not about perfectly reconstructing your past. It helps you make sense of messy photos and start tracking more reliably from today. This is an early concept and future direction, not a fully available product feature.

Already on treatment? You do not need a perfect photo history to start. HairSignal is designed to help you make sense of what you have and track more consistently from now on.

First, check if the photos are even comparable.

HairSignal focuses on comparison quality before confidence scoring, so the report can separate real signals from photo noise.

FAQ

Questions before joining early access.

A few quick answers about what HairSignal is, what it is not, and what happens next.

Is HairSignal available now?

Not yet. HairSignal is currently an early-stage validation project. We are testing whether people want AI-assisted hair progress reports before building the full product.

Is this medical advice?

No. HairSignal does not provide diagnosis, medical advice, prescriptions or treatment recommendations. It is intended to support personal tracking and preparation for conversations with a qualified dermatologist or physician.

Do I need to upload photos now?

No. The current waitlist does not support photo uploads. It only collects your email, selected interest option and whether you are already treating or tracking hair loss.

What happens after I join early access?

We may contact you when the first report format is ready or to ask for feedback about the concept. You can request deletion of your waitlist entry at any time.

What makes HairSignal different from scanner apps?

HairSignal focuses on photo comparability and honest confidence scoring before interpreting progress. The goal is to separate real treatment signals from bad lighting, different angles and shedding panic.
